When to Use: When you head hurts! These oils are blended to ease head discomfort due to stress, eye strain, change in hormones, lack of sleep, co-workers talking loudly, 1482379 non-stop requests from those who need you, thinking too much...the oils may also calm stomach discomfort that sometimes goes with headaches, especially if they're a result of overindulgence of food or drink. This blend may also soothe sinus discomfort.
Description: The peppermint is NOT overwhelming in this blend. I'm not a big peppermint fan but it's amazing at helping ease head and stomach discomfort and it's not overpowering in this blend.
Ingredients and Benefits:
- Western Peppermint - this variety of peppermint has a higher menthol content than other peppermints so is more cooling and helpful in easing head and stomach discomfort.
- Frankincense - analgesic (relieve discomfort), decongestant
- Clary Sage - analgesic, anti-spasmodic, balances hormone levels
- Spike Lavender - analgesic, decongestant
- Grapeseed carrier oil will absorb quickly and beeswax is an effective carrier for balms. Both have a low likelihood of clogging pores (comedogenic rating - 2)
How to Use: Inhaler: Open inhaler; hold 1" from nose; close eyes and inhale gently thru nose and exhale thru mouth. Feel the tension leave your head and neck and other symptoms ease. Repeat for 3-5 minutes or at least 3-5 slew, deep breaths. Balm: Rub small amount on temples, back of neck, under nose. Rub in gently. Repeat as needed. Scent Jar: Open lid and gently inhale scent; in thru nose, out thru mouth, for 3-5 deep breaths. Place on table or desk for prolonged scent; scent will be gentle but effective. Adjust lid as needed for desired strength. Shaker top can be removed for a stronger scent. Roller: Roll on wrists, temples, and/or back of neck. Massage in gently. Inhale from wrists as desired. Use products together for additional support.
Additional Information: Additional interventions to ease headaches -- close eyes and take deep breaths; drink a big glass of water (slight dehydration can cause head discomfort); consider drinking a caffeinated beverage; eat, etc. Seek medical assistance if you experience vision loss, the worst headache of your life, vomiting, confusion, weakness, or other troubling symptoms.
