When to Use: When the agony of the red, swollen toes and joints make every step feel like the floor is lava. 

Description: It's a spicy, lemony scent...but who cares, if it helps the swelling and discomfort? It's a long way from your nose and smells a lot better than sweaty feet. 

Ingredients and Benefits: 

• Lemongrass - may reduce uric acid levels; anti-inflammatory (decreases inflammation/swelling), analgesic (decreases pain)
• Celery seed - reduces uric acid levels; enhances the effects of anti-gout medications; anti-inflammatory 
• Spanish Marjoram - warms & sooths achy joints and muscles
• Turmeric - calms aching joints, analgesic, anti-inflammatory
• Frankincense Serrata - analgesic, anti-inflammatory

How to Use: Gently drop several drops onto the area of "discomfort" (in other words, hurts like no other) and rub in very, very gently, or as hard as you dare. May apply several times daily. 

Additional Information: Medications to prevent/treat gout are available. It is safe to use medications and essential oils. Ask your primary care provider about medications if you have frequent gout symptoms.
